I Adore You

Isn't always nice to know when you're adored. The relationship of Stella and Angus (be it dog or turtles) reminded me of an adoration that is hard to find these days. My grandparents will be married 72 years this year. They have that kind of love that just makes one feel adored. They have loved and been loved for so long. It's easy to see how much they adore one another in their every day actions and glances. He holds the door or her chair, he stands when she comes to the table, he carries her purse when we go to lunch...that bugs her a little...he doesn't seem to mind. Today I wanted to share a little adoration your way.

Here we have Stella and Angus (the turtles) having a romantic ride on the water, sharing smiles and adoring glances.

I used an easel pattern that was very easy to duplicate. This is a rather small but cute card and very easy to make. I cute the cardstock to 4 ¼"x 10" and scored at 3 ½", 5", and 6 ½" using my Scor-pal. Once you've scored your lines, fold your paper accordion style and add adhesive to one of the panels closest to the middle. Fold over the large panel next to it and decorate. The card folds flat to fit in an 4 bar envelope. I cuttlebugged the background cardstock and sponged a little bit of ink over the embossed image. I colored Stella and Angus (Love Boat) using Copic markers and stamped the sentiment (I Adore You) on a punched scallop rectangle. I'm thinking of adding a little glitter to the water just to make it stand out...I haven't decided yet. All stamps, Scor-pal, Cuttlebug folders, punches, and Copics are available at The Rubber Cafe
