Hand Picked Floral

I'm *so* in love with these new floral images that are available in the store! This one is called Hand Picked Floral. I colored it with Copic Markers and framed it with a Nestibilites scrap. Faux stitching and Cuttlebug-embossed photo corner punches finish off my card. This image has inspired me to pull out an old wash tub that I inherited from my grandma. I've been wanting to plant flowers in it for years....about 12 to be exact! Today I dumped the kid's toys out of it and Monday it will be my very own flower tub!! ....did I mention I *love* this image?! Hope you are all enjoying the Memorial Day weekend.

Ruff Day?

Here's a sweet card using this new set from The Rubber Cafe. How can you resist a smile when you see this pup with a balloon tied to his little paw? I've colored him in with copics as well as the balloon which has a layer of diamond glaze over the top. The sentiment is perfect over the top of the balloon.

Thanks so much for looking and I hope none of you are having a rufff day, or at least if you are this brightens it just a bit!

Another Puppy Lover Card

I am having so much fun with this CA-UTE set from The Rubber Cafe called Birthdays and Balloons. You actually have to go to The Rubber Cafe and check out ALL of the new releases. OMG!!!! You will be thrilled!!!

I started by stamping my cute puppy with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him with my copics. All DP is from October Afternoon and I finished things off very simply with some silver brads and alittle paper piercing. Oh and I forgot that I cut my cupcake out and popped it up on a dimensional.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Dont forget to head over to the Rubber Cafe when you can to see all the new goodies!!!!

The Ultimate Day

Over the last week or so I've been playing with a new toy, The Ultimate from Crafters Companion. Today I wanted to share what came out of it. I played with all parts...bow maker, embossing, boxes, special folds. There are marks for gate folds as well as many others with using all different sized paper. One of the cards that I came up with was this double pop up card. The front was stamped and die cut several times and layered. The bow was made with the bow maker. As the card opens you'll see that the inside is embossed and cut out for a popped card that really pops. lots of die cut butterflies were playing around my table and I thought they would make the perfect addition to this fun card. This is one of those really wow factor cards. I enjoyed this process and look forward to your comments.

What's Up Cupcake?

Who doesn't love a cupcake?! I'm loving this new Hey Cupcake has a lot of fun sentiments. This one is perfect for any occasion...not just a birthday! I used paper piecing on this card, topped of with a dusting of bugle bead sprinkles! YUM! Another fun part of this set is all of the little goodies that come with it! You get a little cherry, strawberry, heart, candle, daisy, FOUR types of sprinkles and the little rose that I used here. Very, very versatile!

Chocolate Cupcake

I'm loving this new Cupcake Set! Mixing and matching the style of frosting and type of sprinkles to add makes it fun and new each time I use it. I colored in the cupcake with copic markers and then covered the whole image with a thick layer of clear embossing powder for a rich shine. I also tried a new style (new to me at least) of bow which is just the ribbon folded over with a brad holding the loops in place. It gives the card a more polished feel I think. All this is mounted on Cosmo Cricket Earth Love paper.

Well I was supposed to post Tues, and I was supposed to post this great cupcake card...can't wait to show you. I had to wait to post due to some computer issues. On top of that I left the topper to the cupcake at Melissa's cupcake card.

That being said...on with the show. Today I'm posting to let you all know that next weekend we (Melissa and I) will be in Orlando, FL and then Arlington, TX the following weekend. If you make it to one of these sure to stop by and say HI.

Since I didn't have the cupcake card to show off I thought I would still post a cute card I did for a "Thank You". I used the The Ultimate from Crafter's Companion for my scoring, one of my fav cuttlebug folders...Textiles, as well as the Large Daisy and Thank You 2 from The Rubber Cafe.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

Terrific Tulip!

So, here in Wisconsin it is finally feeling like spring for real....and I've finally went out and purchased my annuals and perrenials for the summer. I LOVE my flowers, and I think I'm getty my husband hooked too....HE wants to add on to our perrenial border this year! WHOOT! I had one more of these glittery tulips on my desk...and I just had to pair it up with cuttlebug's paisley embossing folder. Lightly sanding the embossing makes the design pop. I dressed up my photocorner punches with little punched butterflies! Hope spring is happening wherever you are!!

Here's a little card I made using the super cute new set from The Rubber Cafe called Hey Cupcake. Once this is listed in the store you'll want to grab it. I used one of the small cupcake images with the life is short it!I stamped the cupcake images and colored in with copics. I added a touch of white gel pen to the cherries for that faux shine and decided I wanted some real shine. I added diamond glaze which give it a nice dimensional glaze.

The red is punched with a Martha Stewart punch and dressed with a piece of gingham ribbon.

Thanks for looking!

It's a Dog's Life

This post is long overdue. I've been meaning to post this squash book for a couple of weeks now…and it seems the time just keeps getting away from me.

We've had some new stamps come out over at The Rubber Café, and I couldn't help playing and showing off my dog at the same time.

This is Johnny Cash (the dog in black) and he's a bit of a ham when it comes to being photographed. He always seems to want to get into picture. I think he's just nosey and wants to check it all out.

I had been putting together these squash books at several shows and I wanted to show one off that had been decorated. I used several of the newest stamps from The Rubber Café. The first set is called "Birthday's and Balloons", then I used "Labrador Love", and finished off the front with "It's a Dog's Life". Birthday's and Balloons as well as It's a Dog's Life have not been posted in the online store yet, but can be purchased by contacting The Rubber Café directly.
A quick note...Over the next month Melissa and the Rubber Cafe will be traveling. Summerset, NJ for Scrapbook Expo will May 21st & 22nd, Orlando, FL also Scrapbook Expo will be May 28th & 29th, and then Arlington, Tx for the Great American Scrapbook show will be June 3rd 4th & 5th. If you are attending one of those shows...don't forget to stop by and say HI.
Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to leave a comment for any of our design team posts…show them some love for their beautiful artwork. Also…if you are interested in a tutorial for the squash book, please leave a comment letting me know and I will be glad to post.

Two cards!

I got new yummy stamps a week ago, and have been playing with them ever since. So much fun! I love the Labrador stamps (got them all… lol) and I was so happy to find a whole birthday set with the lab theme. So a birthday card is first up.

Happy BirthdayIsn’t he cuuuute??? And a perfect sized sentiment too. And you just wait till you see the other sentiments. Hilarious… You wait and see!!!

While at it I had to ink up the most beautiful flower stamp too. And use this lovely sentiment. Perfect for mothers day (which is last weekend in May in Sweden), or for any occasion where you want to express your love.

Easel card Thanks for stopping by!

Mother's Day

Here is the card I'll be giving to my Mom tomorrow. I used this new flower image as the focal point, LOVE it! I adore all the different flowers in the image because it allows for lots of color options. Be on the look out for this to be available at The Rubber Cafe because it's a must have image!

I wasn't paying attention to the space I was leaving on the card so I ran out of room for a cool MOM image from The Rubber Cafe and instead had to sneak in this rub on. Inside reads "Although I hope you already know, my love for you just grows and grows".

Happy Mothers Day to all of the Mothers, Mothers to be, and Hopeful Mothers!

Happy Happy Mothers Day

Happy Thursday!! I have two awesome new stamps to share with you today here from The Rubber Cafe. The first is the Happy Mothers Day sentiment and the second is this awesome floral stamp. How pretty are these wild flowers in a cheese grater. How simple and unique. Lovely.  I stamped my image with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with my copics. I used some new Designer Paper from October Afternoon and finished things off with a fun bow and a few brads in the lower right corner. These stamps have not been posted yet to the website but keep checking back because I am sure they will be real soon. Have a fantastic day!!!!

Hey Cupcake!!!

Have you seen the new Cupcake set??? I can tell you it’s like a dream for a cupcake lover like myself! I got it in my mail today and I simply had to leave the dishes to my hubby and start stamping right away!

Cupcakes 1 The set is called Hey Cupcake! and contains 20 different stamps!!! I paper pieced the cupcakes and mounted them with different sizes of 3D foam to get a real 3 D effect. My boy said stop doing stuff like this, mom! Especially if you don’t have cupcakes at home. I’m getting frustrated here… LOL! So I guess he thought it looked yummy!

Have a fab day!

National Scrapbook Day

Happy National Scrapbooking Day to you all! I hope everyone had a little time to themselves to create something special today. Here's was the first of MANY projects I tackled today. I used the Highwing Butterfly image to create this 6x6 page. I first stamped the background creating a custom designer paper and then made embellishments to match with shrink plastic. It's a throwback to the shrinky dinks I made as a kid but these look way better! I stamped the image with stazon and then shrunk the material with my heat gun. Now that I've made this I keep thinking how pretty a set of wine charms with this image would be...hummm. Maybe I'll add that to my list of projects.
