Hi there, Sabrina here with your Saturday post.
Fall is my favorite time of year so I thought I'd use some stamps with that season as a theme...
I started off by making a tea light candle holder.
I cleaned and removed the label from a chicken salad tin as shown below
Then using some paper and heat embossing
I stamped the grape leaves from the Bon Appetit set.
I then tied some string around the bottom and voila candle holder.
As a side note I used a glue dot to stick the candle to the bottom of the tin to help prevent it from sliding around, and as always NEVER leave a burning candle unattended.
(Sorry the gold embossing is hard to photograph)
Then onto my card, I had every intention of trying the "spotlight" technique but then I got so carried away making my card I ended up coloring the whole image and didn't actually do what I wanted LOL. So I'll leave that for next week.
So I stared by dusting off my cuttle bug and embossed my background then stamped the Pumpkin and Corn image on some Pugnacious Signature Paper, I colored it with copics and prisma color pencils. I layered this on brown and then yellow/orange card stock and popped it up with foam dots. I finished the look off with three little gems and cut the same yellow/orange card stock for the inside.
Again as always I hope you enjoyed your visit and I promise I'll try to remember to demonstrate the "spotlight" technique next time. I'm really enjoying learning and then showing you the techniques I'm learning along the way and I'd appreciate any input on techniques you recommend or would like to see.
Have a great week.
