Butterfly Love

I was in the mood for blue today....and decided to go with a love theme anyway! This card would be perfect for the mom's, sisters or friends in your life when you want to send them a little hug in an envelope! I used the Large Highwing Butterfly, stamped in black and then colored with Copic Markers. I popped up the wings with foam tape for a touch of dimension. The loopy L in I Love You just seemed to fit my butterfly theme. ~michelle~ http://www.inspirationblooms.blogspot.com/

Happy Couple

This image is perfect for a little port hole scene with the oars popping out of the circle. It's so much fun to define an area and then have images extend past it. To make this I stamped the Love Boat image and colored in with my copics. Then I used my circle cutter and ended on either side of the oars. All you need to do is a bit of hand cutting for a fabulous effect. The sentiment was a rub on applied to the blue card stock. It seemed perfect for this image of a very happy couple!

Turtle Love

Anyone else tired of winter?  We've been having Spring like weather for weeks and just today we're back to negative double digits.  I'm ready for some green grass, some bright sunshine and new flowers in the garden!

I was definitely thinking of Spring when I made this card using the Stella and Angus Music to my Ears stamp.  I was worried that my background green was too bright with the yellow, so I used my Love Words stamp to darken the background just a bit, and then I stamped my sentiment from the Sweet Kitty stamp set.  I coloured Stella and Angus with my Copic Markers and added a couple of Prima Flowers and some bright fun brads.

I can't wait to see what fun things that Melissa is discovering at CHA!  Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Sweet & Simple Valentines

Here's an idea for some sweet & simple Valentines. These little 3" x 3" cards can be whipped up in a snap and the cute little love bugs makes them fun! I used a designer paper by Little Yellow Bicycle with a bit of shimmer as the background and then added some more to the bugs with Atyou Spica glitter pens. The hearts all have a bit of shine and a few of the wings as well. A little button with some ribbon makes the perfect accent for these sweet little cards. Who wouldn't smile when receiving one of these?

Just My Type

Well...I had to make one more card with Just My Type....I *love* this stamp set! This time I colored the image with Copic Markers....I *love* them too!! I cut out the image since I also *love* to cut and wanted to showcase the colored image without the white background I stamped it on. I had just enough of this fun ribbon in my stash and the heart pin is the perfect embellishment. I'd *love* to have you comment on this post and tell me which of the newly released stamps is the one YOU *love!* Better yet....post a link to a card you made with it!! I would *love* to come and check it out and leave you some *love!* ~michelle~ http://www.inspirationblooms.blogspot.com/

Mom

Here's a card I made for Palindrome Day (01/22/10) it's the same backwards and forwards just like this card. I used the rub on sentiment of Mom since it fits the palindrome bill as does the butterfly image.
The butterfly was stamped and then embossed with a glitter filled embossing powder. I then colored in the image.

Hugs and Kisses!!

Hi Everyone and Happy Thursday to you!! I made this card a few weeks ago and I just could not wait to show it to all of you here!
I stamped this gorgeous image from The Rubber Cafe called Iris onto white cardstock and colored with my copics. I actually looked up images of Irises on the computer to get the coloring just so. Then I cut it out with my oval nesties. My dp is all DCWV and my sentiment is from Sweet Kitty. Then I finished this off with a little ribbon from stash and a few crystals.  What do you think?
So on another note, as I am preposting this post I am watching an entertainment program and they are talking about the Octomom and how she is back in her bikini looking better than ever. They say she works out 3 yes THREE hours a day and is on a strict diet. I cant get in an hour workout with 2 kids and she have that clan and works out "3" hours a day. What is wrong with this picture!!! LOL

Hope you have enjoyed your visit here today. If you want, you can also find me at my blog at www.stampwithme-ann.blogspot.com. Thanks for stopping by!!

Black & White & Red

Valentines always reminds me of weddings, and when I think weddings I think Black and White. To add a little interest to my card, I slipped a little red in too. I made my own DP using the Love Words stamp from The Rubber Cafe. I stamped Happy Valentines Day from the brand new Bubblegum Machine set in black and then cut it out with my Heart Nestabilities (which I love, by the way) and then matted it in red.

I finished my card off with a little faux stitching on my red strip. Quick, simple and easy!

Have a wonderful Day!

Puppy Love

You might already know that I am in love with The Rubber Café Labrador. If you don’t know, I can tell ‘ya! I love the Lab! And the new valentine set Labrador Love is NO exception. These puppies are the cutest ever! Valentine 3 I stamped the lab twice, first on the card base, then a second time on watercolor paper. I colored it and cut it out and adhered it on top of the first stamp. Why stamp twice? Well, I didn’t want the fuss to cut out the antennas. The sentiment is from the awesome Just My Type set.

I got the stamps one week ago, and I’ve been playing some this last week and here are a couple of cards that I’ve blogged on my own blog already. But you might not read it, so I thought I’d share.

You Are Just My Type

Oooh, I just love the Just My Type set too....and I was blog hopping yesterday and came across a pink typewriter.....how cool would that be?! I think I'd just have to have it for decoration!!!

I colored my typewriter with copic markers, spica glitter pens and Deco Pink and White Prismacolor Pencils. I used all of the type-written sentiments in the set as a background stamp....how cool is that?! This is definately a new favorite stamp set....perfect for any occasion. I can see it as a masculine birthday card too....when I'm not in a pink mood!!

You Push my Buttons

I was so excited to play with this new set and here is my very first creation with it. I just adore stamp sets with fun phrases you can mix and match...this fits the bill! To get a set of six stamps for just $13.50 is almost too good to be true...check out Just My Type.

I started with stamping this typewriter image twice - one to color and one to use for cutting. I colored this with various copic markers and added a little shine to the keys with a black glaze pen from sakura. The fun part of this card was attaching the sheet of paper and popping up the outer edges to make it appear it's ready to be pulled of the machine. Inside I've written "in all the right ways" since it will be going to my hubbie for Valentines day.

Have a fantastic weekend and thanks for looking!

Carousel Horse - Many Thanks

Go ahead, take a breath.  Is this Carousel Horse stamp the most beautfiul stamp ever?  Melissa didn't know it when she sent it to me, but I have a collection of Carousel Horse Music Boxes that date back to when I was a teenager.   I literally squeeled when I opened my DT Kit and saw this image.

To make this card, I started out by stamping the Carousel Horse on Neenah 110 lb paper in Versafine Onyx Black Ink, then sprinkled on clear embossing powder and let my heat gun do its job.  I have found that with images that have a lot of detail, the embossing helps to keep the ink in the right place.  Once the image was coloured, the rest of the card just fell into place rather nicely.  And my sentiment, Many Thanks, was the perfect fit!

To learn more about how I made this card, hop on over to my blog.

I'm Hooked On You

I've really enjoyed working with the new stamps from The Rubber Café. This set, hooked on you, wasn't my favorite at first, but it quickly grew on me and now I want to use it all the time. Perfect for the little fisherman in your life.

I had a great time making these little treat cards with my class this last Saturday. With a 2 ¾" x 8 ½" sheet of paper, I scored at 2 ½", 3", 5 ½" & 6". I punched a shape for the hole at one end, folded that end inside and then taped it down. These are perfect for a tiny valentine treat, a quick thank you, or just to say HI. I would have loved to have used heart candy inside…but I couldn't seem to find them in the stores when I made this project.
I hope you enjoy and have a great week!

Wintery Greetings!

It’s about time to put the Holiday stamps away for a couple of months… But while at it I decided to make a card where I combined my personal three favorite Rubber Café Holiday Stamps. Let me present my top three list: The Snowman from the Baby it’s cold outside set, the Labrador and the Penguin from the Winter Fun Labrador set.Januari 1The design is really simple, the focus is on the masked image. I added some glittery white fun flock on the dog’s hat and on the snow to make it more interesting. The Christmas line is great since it is so versatile. Many of the images can be used to anything winter related, not only to Holiday Greetings.

And while at it, I did a real quick birthday card for my son’s friend who will have his party next weekend.Januari 2 On this one I used one of the cute penguins from the Penguin Trio. I think he looks like he’s on a party mood! The background is stamped with the Elegant Snowflake Border.

Have a fab week all!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I am playing with more Valentine's Day stamps....and these cards are very simple to make, but classy to give. They feature two Rubber Cafe stamps. Happy Valentine's Day, which I love the font of, and Love Words, which is so fun!

I added faux stitching and photo corners to frame my designer paper.

Inspired Calla Lily

On Saturday mornings I like to wake up early and spend a little ''me time'' in my craft room. The Inspiration Challenge over at Spiltcoast Stampers gives me that little boost of creative thinking. This card started with a color in mind and then I was drawn to this Calla Lily Collage image so my copics had room to blend and play. I wanted to keep the lily white so I stamped a second image and cut out just the lily to layer onto the full image. This let me blend color without worry of bleeding into the white space and it adds the slightest bit of dimension. Once I was happy with the colors in the image I embossed the whole thing with clear embossing powder. I finished off with some ribbon and a stick pin for that little something special.

Thanks for looking!

Bon Appetit

This set is absolutely a must have!!! It is called Bon Appetit. You can find it here. I love this set because it is so versatile and very elegant. I started by stamping the image with burgundy ink and then embossed it so it really stands out. I actually made this card awhile ago so I cant remember the maker of the DP but I finished off the card with some black ribbon, paper piercing and a few black jewels. I actually wanted to show you one more Christmas card this week but my dd deleted a bunch of pictures from my camera and of course guess what she deleted, so I needed a quick follow up to be able to share something with you today. I hope you enjoy this. Hop on over to The Rubber Cafe where you can find this set a a slew of fabu valentine stamps as well.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a great day!!!

Penguin Trio Note Card

Hello there! That's what I think of every time I see this Penguin Trio Stamp from The Rubber Cafe! LOL! The little guy in the middle makes me smile every time.

First, I stamped my blue, green and white papers with a light blue ink and my It's A Blizzard Outside stamp (I love this one, can you tell?) and then I stamped the Penguin Trio and coloured it in. I really like how they turned out in grey...penguins aren't always black, right?! What's especially fun about this card is that I used my Corner Rounder Punch to make the scallops...if you have the kind where you can take off the guide, it works beautifully

My layout is courtesy of Sketch Saturday's Sketch #82. I left out a few pieces, but it was my original inspiration. I'm not sure that this would be used as a holiday card, but more of a note card.   Like when I send the cheque to the nice woman who cleaned my parents house before they returned from Florida.

A Quick Gratitude

I realized it was Tuesday morning and I didn't have anything ready to go up on the blog today...so...I put together a quick card and started taking a few pics. The problem was that my dog...Johnny Cash the dog in black...kept climbing up on the sofa to get behind the card. I gave up and took a few of him before he finally got down and let me take a few of the card.

This card was a simple Thank You made with Floral Background and Thank You. The technique needs a little working on by me...but it's not a hard one. The coloring looks great till I took pics of it and saw it on camera...and wow...do I need to work on my coloring skills. I stamped on black paper with white pigment ink (color box frost white) and then heat set the color. I then colored over the white areas with pencils to create a brightly colored piece on black paper.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I was in the mood to make a Valentine this week! For this card I used Happy Valentine's Day, Love Words and Floral Swirl. I colored the image with Copic Markers and then highlighted areas with a white gel pen and pearls. I can't wait to see the new Valentine line coming soon....but these are classic stamps that I'm glad to have in my collection! ~michelle~ http://www.inspirationblooms.blogspot.com/
