Gate Fold Card!

If you are looking for directions, here is the tutorial I followed on SCS.
For the base of my card, I stamped Love Words on a diagonal in Walnut Stain Distress Ink.
I used one of the Card Labels for the panel behind my heart. I also stamped the Love Words image on a diagonal on the label in Walnut Stain Distress Ink.
I stamped the Floral Heart in black ink and colored it with a white gel pen, black Spica glitter pen and a Prismacolor pencil in Mineral Green. I popped the heart up on foam tape. I glue dotted the knot on the heart.
I added heart buttons on each end of the label. My little HINT for you is this....the right side of the label tucks under the heart and holds the card closed!
So...be sure you stop by The Rubber Cafe's blog and join our challenge and a chance to win the prize!

Michelle's No Pattern Paper Card - A Day Late!

No Patterned Paper!?!
Well, this was not an easy challenge, but it sure was FUN! Have you made your card yet? Still a couple of days to go! All details HERE!
My card is a classic Clean And Simple one using the Umbrella stamp and Hi There! sentiment.
I stamped the umbrella on the white panel and on white cardstock scraps. Cut the extra ubrella tops out and colored them with different colors with copics and used some pop dots. To frame it, I simply drew a line around it all. To finish it off a little bling. Done. I like how it came out. And I have fixed the green mat (didn’t see it until I started photo editing. But when I had fixed it, it was too dark to take a new photo). The design is inspired by this weeks Card Pattern’s sketch.
Hope to see your no patterned paper cards!!! Have a great new week!

To Say A Melon Thanks
This weeks challenge is paper piecing. I had a much different card in mind, but it never really came together for me. I started with a gate fold card and red background...it was just not a good look. Eventually I went with a "Z" fold card...and now...I am finally pleased with it.

And here are a few other enteries in our challenge:

Check back tomorrow for our next challenge. Happy Stamping and have a great week.

Can't Wait To Sea You!

For my Fishbowl, I paper pieced the water using a darker piece of designer paper that had bubbles and waves on it. I stamped my plant life images from the Fishing For Details set, which I did color with a combination of Copic markers and a white color pencil.
For my sand, I used ScrapHappy Glue and real sand! The paper sort of shows through the sand, but it gives the illusion that you are looking through the glass and see the sand.
I stamped the sea life images on different scraps of designer paper and cut them out.
We hope you can play!! Use code TRCC4 if you upload your card...but be sure to enter your card on the challenge post! There will be a great prize for a lucky participant! Good Luck!!

Another Great Challenge

For my card today I pulled out my Hey Cupcake set and pieced away. I paper pieced both pieces of the cupcake and popped it up onto some circles cut with my Spellbinders. My dp is October Afternoon and I added some brads, crystals and a thin piece of ribbon with a tiny bow.
Please feel free to join us this week. A great prize is up for grabs to one lucky random winner. This weeks keyword is TRCC4 if you upload to a gallery but then come back here to Mr Linky and leave your entry.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Enjoy your weekend.

A Challenging Tutorial and a Winner
If you've been checking out the challenges, you'll know this weeks challenge is to use red, pink, and black together. If you're not sure what I'm talking about...check out this post here.
What you'll need:
*Cardstock 6" x 8 1/2"
*Stamps and embellishments for decorating
*adhesive (only for decorating your box)
Directions:
Line your cardstock up against your Scor-Pal or Scor-Buddy and score at 2, 4, 6, & 8. (Cardstock is cut at 6, not 6 1/2...typo in my pic)
Turn your paper a 1/4 turn lining up the short scored edge to the top and score at 1 1/2 just to the second score line, 2 & 4 all the way down, and again at 4 1/2 to the second score line. This will be the top of the box.
flip your paper over and line a bottom corner (not having extra scor lines) into the 6" line. Score corner to corner in the first square and skipping the second square score again corner to corner in the third square. Turn 1/4 turn staying at the bottom and repeate the score again lining it up at the 6" score line. Cut the top 3 corners off as shown. Cutting all the red lines and cutting off the X'd boxes.
Fold all your score lines, folding all the corners inward.
Close the box by sliding the tabs on the top of the box into the base of the box and it will stay shut.
You're ready to decorate.
This is a fun box to add small gifts or a couple of pieces of chocolate for that special somebody.

To claim your prize, go to The Rubber Cafe and contact us with your information. Please include the challenge that you entered.
Here are some of the other great cards that entered our challenge this week:
