This weeks challenge is paper piecing. I had a much different card in mind, but it never really came together for me. I started with a gate fold card and red background...it was just not a good look. Eventually I went with a "Z" fold card...and now...I am finally pleased with it.
I used one of the background stamps from Background Basic 1 and stamped at an angle for the background of the watermelon. The watermelon and sentiments are from the Fruit Medley set. For a "Z" fold card I cut the paper to 10 1/2" x 4 1/4" and scored at 2 1/2" and 5". The sentiments were layered over each other so that when the card was closed you would only see the top sentiment and open you would see both. Adding a little bling and glitter finished this card off with spunk.
Now...for this weeks winner...
