This little piggy.....

So this week instead of a challenge we're having a product spot light, this week it's the adorable County Fair stamp set. If you read Melissa's post from Friday we're still having a draw and an awesome giveaway and all you need to do is leave her a comment with what you could use this set for, you don't even need to make a project and link it.  We couln't make it any easier :) Trust me you want to join in, this set is soooo cute and versitile and the Scrap Happy glue is the best, and yes she's including a bottle in the prize pack!!

So I had to laugh, my husband had the idea that I should make a scrapbook page layout for our recent visit to a petting zoo and thats even before reading Melissas suggestion of using this stamp set for a petting zoo layout.  I guess great minds think alike.

I'm actually really proud of my little 8x8 scrapbook layout because it's my very first one that i've created outside of a class that wasn't based on a sketch or previous class layout all on my own. Also it's the first time I've stiched on a project.  I know to most of you these seem like minor things but not to me :)

So heres what I did. I used my silhouette machine to cut the title then I used a cuttlebug embossing folder to add some texture, sanded the raised parts and distresseed the edges with ink. I colored the cute little critters with promarkers and also used the markers on the ribbon (it was a white satin ribbon).  I used two strips of The One & Only Tape  then pleated my ribbon and dusted off my sewing machine and stitched it down. I cut out a yellow piece of cardstock a spellbinders die inked the edges and trimmed it and attached it to the right side of my layout. Cut out photo mats from pattered paper distressed the edges and attached the photos. I popped up the little farm animals with foam dots oh and I had used Pugnacious signature paper for them, its perfect for stamping and using the promarkers on.
Well I think that about covers it for this week for me.  I encourage everyone to go to Melissas post and leave her a comment because this weeks prize package is too good to miss.

Have a great week and I look forward to hearing your feedback.  Don't forget to give all the designers some love, we all appreciate your comments.
