To get my mind off the latter....I dug into my Rubber Cafe goodies and grabbed my Scrap Happy Glue and went to work creating a "Spring scene".
I knew from the moment I picked the Through the Window set that I would create shutters from one of the window stamps. I decided on my papers...shabby of course.. and than got my ink out and started to play.
Here's how I made this window card:
1. Simply stamp the window pane stamp onto paper and than switch out to the shutter window stamp. I carefully lined up the stamp on either side of the window pane and stamped it. Than with a little fussy cutting I had my image.
2. Softly score on either side of the window to make the shutters pop out.
I love the cute cottage look of it! I wanted a "flower box" as well so I:
1. Used the third window in the set and stamped it and cut out the box part of it only.
2, Added some foam adhesive on the other side to give it a 3d effect.
3. Added some fun goodies like little flowers and leaves, a mini grapevine wreath, buttons and a banner, and of course some sweet Jellie Dots, Pearl to top my buttons off!
4.For my sentiment I wanted to keep it simple and I thought "You Make Me Smile" from the Fabulous Phrases was perfect.
That is that!
I have myself a sweet cottage window with the perfect shutters! Rubber Cafe style!
Thanks for letting me share!
Happy Spring!
