Clothespin Ornament

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday!  Jen here with a fun little ornament made from clothespins, papers, and lots of shiny bling!

This handmade ornament started with 6 clothespins.  I am an art teacher and often use clothespins to hang wet artwork up to dry.  I had a bucket of clothespins that had come apart and for some strange reason, I kept them. Now I know why... I made this fun snowflake ornament! First I glued the pieces together back to back using the Scrap Happy Glue.  I then spread glue on each edge and tapped You're So Fine Glitter in Bronze Medal using my finger dipped in the glitter.
Next, I selected some Authentique papers and die cut the pieces that would hold the whole thing together.  I used the Exquisite Circles dies from Spellbinders to create the shaped center and backing.

The medallion is created with a 2" strip of patterned paper punched with a border punch and scored every 1/2" using the Scor-Pal.  The ends were put together with The One and Only Tape and pressed down onto a punched circle with glue on it.  Once it set, the top pieces were glued on.

The Happy Holidays sentiment was stamped using Faber-Castell's Stampers Big Brush Pen in black onto patterned paper.  I cut a strip and notched out the ends for a ribbon look.

The center shape is glued onto a glittered circle medallion punched paper. The punched center was blinged out by spreading Scrap Happy Glue on it and Silver Medal You're So Fine glitter.  A Holly Berry Red Jellie Dot was added to the center and each point.

Some red/ white twine was tied on to hang on the tree!  It has a vintage vibe but lots of new finds!   I hope you enjoyed a way to recycled those clothespins!
