Hi again friends, I am back with my guest design post for The Rubber Cafe!

I had so much fun this month again creating with the super adorable and fun stamps from The Rubber Cafe and today is no exception.  With Christmas around the corner I chose to create a card for the season.  Have you seen the Christmas selection stamps that The Rubber Cafe offers?  If not, you better check them out.  As I was writing this post, I spied some new ones that are just adorable, so make sure you check them out!

For my card I have sweet Warren himself with his presents. The stamp is called Presents from Warren and he sure is sweet, don't you think?

I stamped him on white card stock and made him lean a little bit, just as if he is too heavy on those presents and ready to fall over, cute, isn't he???

I colored him in with Copic markers, and die cut him using one of my favorite Spellbinders dies called Decorative Labels Eight.  Once I die cut the paper, I left my die on it and using my Ranger Distress Blending tool I colored the label in with Distress inks.  I used Peacock Feathers and Shabby Shutters.

For my sentiment I die cut a small Spellbinders Classic Scallop circle and stamped my sentiment on from the Ornamental Holiday set and popped it on a glittered snowflake from an older Spellbinders Snowflake set.  Finally I added a pretty green ribbon by May Arts and some fun silver christmas embellishments, which I picked up at a local store.

I hope you like this little card as much as I do!  Thank you Rubber Cafe for having me this month, I loved creating with your pretty stamps and I also have to mention how much I love working with the Scrap Happy Glue, it's a perfect liquid glue for glitter application and of course anything else.

No Christmas Stamps?

So you looked through your stash of rubber stamps and you don't have any Christmas stamps.  Or the Christmas stamps you do have are older and you used them quite a few times.  Does this sound like you?  I know that it has been my problem in the past.  Money is tight and purchasing stamps that are just for one holiday isn't always possible.  So today I want to share with you a Christmas Tag I made using 2 stamps sets  from The Rubber Cafe' that are not Christmas themed at all!

See what I mean?  The only Christmas stamp I used was the Elegant Merry Christmas sentiment stamp.   For this tag, I stamped some ivory cardstock using a stamp from Vintage Treasures using a dark gray ink pad.  I sponged some Chiffon Mix'd Media Inx around the edges.  I stamped the wings and the dress form stamps from the Steampunk set.   I actually stamped the wings onto some silver mirror cardstock using a black Staz-on ink pad and after it dried, I cut it out.  I also used the Spellbinders Decorative Dress Forms dies.  I added some Pearl Jellies and lots of fun lace!  Here is a close-up!

I hope I have sparked some ideas on how to make your non-Christmas stamps and supplies into great tags, cards or gifts!

Winter Tree...

Hi there! Cherry here to share a traditional red and green card using the Large Pine Tree stamp, which is on sale right now!  I peeked around a bit at the store and saw some great sales!  So check it out- Cyber Monday Sale is still going on, but it ends today!

I love this stamp and knew I wanted to try some "faux" snow on this stamp from the first time I saw it and decided today was the day!  I stamped it in white ink first and let it dry.  I than used a small paint brush and lightly went over the image with Snotex.

To finish my card, I simply added my layers, with ribbons, buttons, bells, a paper doily and finishing with our  Red Jellie Dots!
This would be lovely all in blues for a Winter look as well.

Hope you enjoy!   cherry

Happy Christmas Tag

For today's project I have embellished an oversized tag with stamped images and Jellies to create a unique package decoration.

First, I stamped the Don't Be Wishy Washi stamps onto various patterned papers from Lawn Fawn using Faber-Castell's Stampers Big Brush Pens.

I cut the images out and layered them on the tag in a tree format. I stamped the solid tape image with Nougat pen for the base of the tree.

I popped up a couple to create depth.  The rest were adhered down with The One and Only Tape. The tree also had Jellie Dots decorating it and held on with Scrap Happy Glue.

I used Scrap Happy Glue to stamp the words onto a separate piece of sheet music paper.  I added You're So Fine glitter in Silver to the words for an added sparkle.

Using the new Remember The Moments stamp set, I stamped the number "25" using a Stamper's Big Brush Pen onto a circle medallion.

Add some ribbon and a star and the tag is ready to give!

Thankful Mini Album

Hi Everyone!!    Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving a fun shopping day on Friday!!

Today - I have a project to share, that I will sharing with you in two parts!  I have a 'Thankful' mini album I've been working on, and while I'm still fine tuning the inside, today I really wanted to share with you the cover!

This fun album is about things I'm thankful for and features paper from Farm House called "Sugar Hill".

The front is a mix of a coaster which spring-boarded the whole idea, an arrow chipboard album from Clear Snaps that I turned upright to look like a house, leaves stamped and cut out from the new set Leafy Fun Labrador, and a bunch of other goodies, silk sunflowers, acorns and glassine paper leaves.  The fun touch of silver ware at the bottom just seemed to add to the home spun feel I'm going for in this little book.

On the coaster I stamped the new set Pomegranate Decor' in cream ink and really loved the added detail.  Twine for a bow at the top and to gather my silverware was a great rustic finish.

For my title - 'Thankful' I diecut the letters from chipboard and paper - using Tim Holtz' 'Word Play' XL Bigz die.  I love this!  The letters are all different, some upper some lower case and there's numbers too!!  That took me a bit, I cut them 3 times until I found just the right paper! lol

Well thanks for stopping by - be sure to come back and shop our Cyber Monday Sale!

Bye!

Fall Step Card

Have you seen this adorable stamp set in The Rubber Cafe store yet?

It's called  Leafy Fun Labrador!

In addition to that adorable Lab sitting in the Leaves there is a maple leaf, a pair of pumpkins, an acorn, an oak leaf, and a rake in this set.

For today's project I made a step card so that I could showcase all of the wonderful stamps in this set.

To make this card start with a 5 1/4" x 12" piece of green cardstock.  Use a Scor-Pal to score the cardstock at 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 4 1/4", 6" and 9".

Fold the panel back and forth on the score lines so it looks like this.

Cut a 5 1/4" square panel out of the same green cardstock and adhere to the back panel with Scrap Happy Glue so it looks like this.

Stamp the circle from Card labels Stamp set, on a white scrap and color with green marker.  Cut around the edge of the label.  Stamp sentiment from Fabulous Phrases set in VersaMark ink and emboss with black embossing powder.  Adhere sentiment to front step with
Scrap Happy Glue.

Stamp leaves, pumpkins, and acorns multiple times on Pugnacious Signature White Paper and color with markers.  Cut out and adhere to the  two front steps of the card with Scrap Happy Glue.

Stamp the Lab image on a 5" square panel of Pugnacious Signature White Paper.
Color image with markers and adhere to card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
I hope you enjoyed this fun fall step card!
