Mustache Love!

New project posted!   Scroll down for Mustahe Love...

Late last night I finished my January tag for Tim's 12 tags for 2013.  Since I used a stamp from The Rubber Cafe' Vintage Treasures line - I thought I'd share it with you -

If you remember Tesa used this same stamp earlier this week in her CAS card here.  I love this stamp but have to admit it's the first time for me to 'ink' it up!  I know now it won't be the last...

here's a closeup of that wonderful stamp - the 'smile' is a rub-on I had.

Our vintage stamps - really lend themselves well to all of the techniques inks, and embellishments from Tim Hotz' Ideology line and products.  So if you're a fan get 'em out and have fun mixing it up!

Hi Everyone! - It's the last day of January and today I'm bringing you my first Valentine card!

The basis of my card is Jody Dougherty's new design stamp set for The Rubber Cafe' called - Pictures Framed.

You've heard of Muskrat love...  well today I give you "Mustache Love!"

Mustaches' have been all the rage lately so I decided to get busy with my Silhouette and cut myself a 'stache and some lips!  It seemed the perfect fit inside the opening of these adorable polaroid frames.

Some black and red baker's twine, carry the '&' for my 'his' and 'her' text stickers from Tim Holtz verbage stickers. These are so fun when you need small type!

The 'Love', 'You' is also stamped using the Pictures Framed set. By fussy cutting them out they look just like they were made with a label maker!   I used some fun heart shaped paper clips to hold them to the edge of my poloroid frames also from the Pictures framed set.

This is about as CAS as I get - and I love how this turned out with the white contrast against the deep red and black.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your week!

January Guest Designer, Gloria Stengel back with some final projects!

Hello, again! It is Gloria Stengel with you today, sharing my last Guest Designer post for January!

I made two spring time cards for you, using The Rubber Cafe' - Grater Floral (G-794) and Hand-picked Floral (H-975) stamps.

First up is this bright and fun card using the Grater Floral stamp.

I used fresh and pretty papers for my card. I wanted to give you all that breath of spring since many of you are in the grip of winter and are probably longing for spring! (I am in San Diego, where it is always spring or summer!)

I stamped the image onto white cardstock and colored it with alcohol markers. I love the simple design of this set. I have a passion for wildflowers, preferring them to roses or other "fancy" flowers.
I finished off the inside of the card with a sentiment from the Fabulous Phrases (J-1095) stamp set.

For my second card, I used the Hand-picked Floral stamp.

I used the same papers for another spring-themed card. I love the pink on this one!

I colored the image with alcohol markers.

I finished the inside again with the Fabulous Phrases stamps.

I hope you enjoyed my post today! Thanks to The Rubber Cafe and DT Coordinator Karen, for having me as a guest this month!

Forever isnt long enough

I stamped the camera on white Pugnacious Signature Paper and fussy cut it and mounted it on the card with 3D foam. A sentiment from a scrap paper and some washi tape with stitches finish it off.

XOXO Little Altered Clipboard

Just the other day, I went shopping with my daughters and we stopped in at the local Dollar store. We always have such fun shopping at this type of store because you never know what you are going to find.
Well, I found something so cute and I just knew I had to make it pretty!

It's a clipboard that measures 6 x 8".  I just had all kinds of ideas to make this clipboard look pretty so I bought more than one!  For this one, the first thing I did was to paint it with some white acrylic craft paint.  The first coat didn't really cover that well, but then I decided I kinda liked that look!

Using some patterned papers from Pink Paislee Secret Crush and glossy Modge Podge, I got busy decorating my clipboard.  I also used some TRC stamps, of course!
After adhering down the base layer of patterned paper, I put a light coat of modge podge down and allowed that to dry. Then using Jet Black Staz-on, I stamped the XOXO Small stamp and Heart Strings stamp directly onto the modge podged layer. I stamped the polka dot tape from Don't Be Wishy Washi onto white cardstock and cut it out. I stamped the Love sentiment from Remember The Moments onto a tab die cut from the Address Book set (Spellbinders). The hearts are from Spellbinders new Media Mixage line - Hearts One and Hearts Two.

I gave everything one final coat with modge podge and allowed it all to dry.  Then I added some ribbons to finish.

I'm going to send this to my daughter who is away at college.  I think she will get a kick out of what I did with the silly $1 clipboard I bought when she was with me!
