Today I want to share a wallhanging I made featuring The Rubber Cafe' stamps and Graphic 45 a "Place in Time" calender line. I love this paper, and find there are many of our stampsets, that work well with it, so hope to make some more projects from this pack throughout the year.
The Base of my wall-hanging is corrugated chipboard, and a very fine balsa wood. I diecut the edges using an bracket edge die from Tim Holtz. I was going to stain it but decided I liked the natural color.
I stamped the Bingo set stamp - as a background using Memento teal ink, and restamped the numbers '20' and '13' on a contrasting soft cherry color print paper. I love how these just happen to be clustered together for my 'Year'!
I die cut a large Snowflake from more of the corrugated chipboard, and using my white cloud paint dauber, brushed on just enough to accent the ridges. I stamped the "Winter Wonder" phrase from the Seasons stampset and created fish tails to hang from Snowflake.
I've used a fun distressed wire hanger with metal clips to hang it. Mine is from a quilt shop. But I have also purchased some wonderful ones from Melissa Frances, that are out there. I finished the bottom with a string of fun mittens- yet another fun element of Winter!
