This is a 5 x 7" card. I used some new Card Creator dies from Spellbinders Paper Arts. These dies are called 5x7 Matting Basics A and 5x7 Matting Basics B. Its kinda hard to see it but I stamped the Words of Inspiration Background all over the cream layer using Desert Sand Memento Ink plus I sponged around the edges. Then I layered some peach cardstock and another layer of cream that I stamped the Small Trailing Butterflies stamp using Rich Cocoa Memento Ink.
Here is a close-up.....
As you can see, I stamped the butterflies onto a scrap of peach cardstock using Desert Sand Memento Ink and then fussy cut them out. Then I stamped the same butterflies onto some Vellum cardstock using Timber Brown Staz-on and fussy cut those out! The vellum I used is a text-weight so its a little thicker and that is how I got the wings to look like they are flying!
Here you can see my layers closeup!
Another close-up!
See the sentiment strip? I stamped the Words of Inspiration using the Desert Sand Memento ink and then stamped Spread Your Wings sentiment using Rich Cocoa Memento Ink over the background. I sponged the edges and added the twine and pearls.
I think this card turned out great plus I had alot of fun making it! Now I just have to find someone to send it too!! LOL Hope you have a great day!
