To make this tissue paper flower, the first thing I did was to stamp the Trailing Hearts stamp all over the tissue paper using Rhubarb Stalk Memento Ink Pad.
Then I folded my tissue paper so it was alittle bigger than the die template. I had at least 10 layers by the time I got it this size. Here I used Blossom Five - die #4 (remember die #1 is the smallest). Here is what it looked like....
I cut/embossed the tissue paper using my Grand Calibur. Here is the tissue paper still in the die.
Then I folded the flower in half and then in half again and punched a hole for a brad in the middle.
I added a brad to hold all the layers together....it doesn't have to be a pretty brad because it probably won't be seen since the flower's layers will hide it.
Gather each layer and scrunch it to the middle -- like this......
Then you can fluff the layers so that your flower will look how you want it to look!!
Now to complete my gift bag, I needed to make alittle tag to hang on it. I first stamped the Happy Valentine's Day sentiment onto a sheet of white cardstock. Then I positioned the Classic Squares Nestabilities over the sentiment and used a piece of removable tape to hold the die in place. As you can see in the photo, this is the type of removable tape I always use.
Then I finished up everything. Here are a few close-ups!
I am going to put a few treats into this bag for my youngest daughter's teacher! I think she will really like this cute bag plus she will love the chocolates I am going to put in there!! LOL
