A Cuppa and a Smile

Textures are hot in crafting.....using fabrics, wood, cork, so many options!  Don't be afraid to step out of a simple "paper and ink" comfort zone and try something new.  I did just that when I used my stamps from The Rubber Cafe', embossing, cork, and burlap, to make this fun, loaded with texture card:

I bought a big roll of cork at a big box store, traced, cut out, and inked a circle, and used that as my mat instead of paper, and just FYI The Rubber Cafe's- Scrap Happy Glue is an awesome glue for these texture heavy embellishments.
The sentiment is from The Rubber Cafe' Fabulous Phrases set, stamped with Black Tuxedo Memento Ink, the Curled Mug stamp is colored in with Copic Markers.  I embossed black cardstock and adhered it to a my base of cream Pugnacious Paper and used Kraft patterned paper for the background.

A few buttons, twine, and the tab of burlap are the finishing touches on this card, that would make a great gift if you tucked a little gift card in there for someone's favorite coffee shop.

Thanks for stopping by the Cafe' today....glad
we could share a "cuppa" and a smile! :)
