Leaving the Shore

May is a month of graduations and new beginnings.  The New Oceans quote from The Rubber Café is a poignant reminder that change and growth takes courage.

I have always loved vintage photos and ephemera.  I don't know where this photo originated or who is in it, but I do know that the photo is an original black and white photo circa 1945.  I stamped the sentiment directly on the photo.  Using black photo corners, I mounted it to a background stamped with the Wood Grain stamp.  The Large Nautilus was stamped using various colors of distress ink and accented with a white pen.
This project reminds me of a bygone era when kitschy travel postcards were sold in souvenir shops.
Happy Stamping!

I love photographs taken on film such as this one. You have done a great job at making it look even more beautiful by mounting it on a frame.

Vintage photos are very attractive. This is a cute card with a nice quote. And yeah may comes with sad things too when you have to leave your college friends.
