Hi! Jenni Zmuda back for my 2nd and final post as The Rubber Cafe's, May Guest Designer!
For today's project I have a fun Mixed Media tag and technique using products from The Rubber Cafe’, featuring the Grass with Flower stamp and Shore Birds Stamp. I teamed them up with their Scrap Happy Glue and You're So Fine Glitter. The tag I
used is Ranger's Manilla tag size #8.
To get started for this technique, I prepared my tag by dropping 3 acrylic paint colors, (purple, white and hot pink) directly onto the tag mixing it around with my brayer. This gave me a great texture base for my tag.
To add even more texture I then took some modeling paste and smooshed it
around the edges with my palette knife.
Pic #5
By using both stamp pads provided the ima a very dark yet colored look. I stamped it onto the still wet modeling paste.
*Be sure to wash your stamp well after this…the modeling paste will fill all the little crevices of your stamp. I just used an old toothbrush and dish soap.
.I wanted to add a little glitter. To do this I mixed The Rubber Cafe’s You're So Fine Glitter with their Scrap Happy Glue. This glitter is amazing, mixed with
the glue its like cement and it's not going anywhere!
It's very subtle but just such a nice touch. I finished by adhereing on a little marble arrow wrapped it with DoodleBug
Twine.
And there you have it! A mixed media tag!
And here's a few closeups!
That's it! I hope you've enjoyed my projects as much as I've enjoyed sharing them with you!
I've so enjoyed being here this month - thanks for stopping by~ Jenni
