I colored a piece of white Pugnacious Signature Paper with gelatos from the 50's Diner Collection, then smeared them around with my finger tips to get them to blend like this:
For my dragonfly, I used Scrap Happy Glue to stamp the image directly to my gelato prepared piece. I added a dab of the glue onto the stamp using a piece of Cut n' Dry Foam. With the image stamped now in glue, I applied You're So Fine glitter in black licorice using my finger tip and rubbing it gently burnishing the glitter into the stamped image. I love the way the image just pops out when you use this technique. To finish it, I bejeweled the dragonfly with jellie dots and pearls.
As a background, I wanted more than just a patterned paper, so I cut varied sizes of hexagons using Spellbinders Hexagons dies, then stamped them in Black Tuxedo Memento Ink using the Leaf Swirls stamp from The Rubber Cafe'. The sentiment is from the Fabulous Phrases set. I added distressing to the edges of the banner, as well as stamping a bit of the Leaf Swirls.
Here is a close up of the details...
