Hello Friends! Hope your day is going well. Today I am back with a really fun and fancy fold card. I needed a unique and pretty card that would give me lots of room to write inside for a special friend of mine. I was surfing around the internet and found the
Double Z-Fold card. You can see the tutorial on how to make this fancy card
HERE on Splitcoaststampers.com. Here is a picture showing the supplies I used to make this fun card!
For this card, I used a 5 1/2 x 12" base of Kraft cardstock. After scoring and folding (per the instructions), I cut about 1" off each flap so that I could adhere my pink cardstock border. I made the border using A2 Bracket Borders dies from Spellbinders. Here is a close-up.
I stamped the Tree Silhouette stamp using New Sprout Memento ink first and then stamped the
Happy Birthday sentiment using Rich Cocoa Memento Ink on top. I cut/embossed this using Labels One. I matted this to a
Scalloped Labels One cut/embossed from pink cardstock. Here is what my card looks like when opened. I used a bit of seam binding to hold it closed.
Now I want to show you alittle trick I use when a sentiment stamp is a bit big or not quite the shape I want. This Happy Birthday sentiment is so cute but I really didn't want to use it in that shape. So I took my scissors and cut it apart. GASP!! I know but its not a big deal. You can fit it back together, too!
See what I mean? Sure you could just ink the Happy and then ink the Birthday but I am kinda lazy! LOL Hope you will give the Double Z-Fold card a try.....it was really fun!
