Stamping Paradise

Summer is almost here!  My thoughts are turning to the beach, and this is even reflected in my stamping, and of course, The Rubber Cafe' has the perfect stamps!  I was thinking soft breezes, and pretty sunsets when I created this card:

I created the sunset using Distress Inks and a sponge, then stamped the Shore Birds Rubber Cafe' stamp in black Distress Ink to keep the look soft.  I stamped an oval from the Rubber Cafe' Card Labels set, fussy cut it out to create a frame, and then covered it in Scrap Happy Glue, and sprinkled it with Stampendous Glass Glitter.  I used the negative space left from cutting that oval as a stencil to trace the correct size oval on the sunset piece, and also cut it out.  The sentiment is from the ever awesome Fabulous Phrases set, after I stamped it, I added the glittered oval "frame" using foam tape.  Burlap, twine, a  button and Jellie Dots, add the finishing touches.

Ahhh.....I can almost feel the soft breeze and hear the waves lapping on the sand.....thanks for joining me at the beach....er, at The Rubber Cafe' today!
