One thing I love about The Rubber Cafe' is their huge selection of stamps for all different seasons, occasions, and holidays. So if you want to have a party.....all you need for decor is your Rubber Cafe' stamps and a little imagination! This cheerful summertime party ensemble has everything needed for a great get-together with family and friends for any summertime occasion:
Using The Rubber Cafe' Fruit Medley set, I stamped a bunch of the fruit slices and wedges on Pugnacious white cardstock, and then colored them all in using Copic Markers, starting with the lightest color first, then adding some highlight and blending, then adding the darkest around the edges as you see here:
I fussy cut out the wedges, and punched out the slices using a 1&1/2" circle punch. I added a Jellie Dot to the center of most of the fruit slices with TRC Scrap Happy Glue. Once those were done, I could start making the individual pieces.
Every party starts with an invite! This one was made using The Rubber Cafe' Large Jar stamp. I stamped the jar on yellow cardstock and cut it out. The lid was stamped on Pugnacious white, cut out, and then stamped with the Background Basics 2 stripe to give it the pattern you see here:
I added a computer generated "invite" matted with black cardstock, a bit of twine and a button, and of course, a couple of those sunny lemon slices I had already made!
Next up, a simple centerpiece. It started with a rosette that I layered up with a circle of black cardstock I stamped in white with the "Summer" part of the Summer Fun stamp from The Rubber Cafe' Seasons set. Love that chalkboard look! Next I stamped one of The Rubber Cafe' Card Labels, cut it out and again used the Background Basics 2 stripe. That piece coordinates with the small circle label in the Card Labels set, so I stamped that in white ink on black cardstock, and then popped one of those cheerful lemon slices on there. It's attached to a paper straw for a fun look:
The little tags that are on the mason jar glasses and in the centerpiece were super simple. I used a tag punch on black cardstock, then layered in some yellow cardstock, then the Pugnacious white stamped with the Background Basics 2 stripe. A lemon slice and wedge, a bit of twine and a paper straw finish them off.
Little party picks are always fun to have for a little decor on a food tray or in cupcakes. A simple toothpick is turned into cute party decor like so:
The small circle from Card Labels stamped on yellow cardstock, then the scalloped circle stamp from The Rubber Cafe' Remember the Moments set stamped on Pugnacious white. A lemon wedge, a few Jellie Dots and twine complete these cute little picks.
Last but not least, it's always fun to have a party favor. These little lemon drop treat bags make for a sweet little gift for the party guests to take home with them (if they last that long!):
And another closer pic...
The jars and labels were made as mentioned above. I made a simple belly band for the lemon drop treat bags (using the same techniques as in the centerpiece) and then stapled the cello bag of lemon drops to the Large Jar stamped piece before I attached the Large Jar stamped "lid" on top with Scor Tape. The Summer Sun sentiment from the Seasons set makes for a sweet little hang tag to tie up this little "jar of sunshine" for guests to take home!
Well, are you in the mood for a party? Why not grab your stamps and make one!!
