Happy Birthday! Background stamping technique

Hi all!
Tesa here to share a Clean and Simple (CAS) monochromatic card using the double background stamping technique.

I'm using The Rubber Cafe’s white Pugnacious Signature Paper and turquise and teal pigment inks.

I started with stamping the Wood Grain background stamp using a turquise pigment ink.
When dry I trimmed the panel and masked off 3/4 of the panel and stamped with Script Background using a dark teal pigment ink.
It gives such a neat effect!

The Happy Birthday! sentiment is stamped with the teal ink and heat embossed for some extra effect.

The panel is matted on teal cardstock and I used a pearl trim and a satin ribbon as decorations. It’s a clean and simple card, made in 15 minutes but the technique makes it look special.

Hope you liked it!
