Today Dawn Carlyle is sharing her first project and tutorial with us as or newest Designer for The Rubber Cafe'!
Dawn you'll remember joined as a guest designer in July, we loved what she did so much we've asked her to stay on with us on a regular basis and she's graciously accepted!
Read on and join me in welcoming Dawn to the Team!
Hello! Dawn Rene here to share a card I made with The Rubber Cafe's Fairy On the Rocks stamp.
I colored the skin and hair with Copic Markers, and paper pieced her clothes and wings. I also sprinkled Fran-tage embossing enamel on the background to add some texture.
First here's my finished card...
Stamp the Fairy On The Rocks image multiple times on various papers and Heat emboss the enamel with a heat gun from underneath the paper until it melts
Fussy cut out pieces of the image - wings, clothes, hair, etc (I actually ended up using different papers in my final product than are shown here)
Glue down the pieces on a blank cardstock image
Cut out the background paper, and Stamp the word "Hope" on background.
Sprinkle on the embossing enamel over the background and heat set to emboss

Here's a close-up view of the embossed areas.

To finish just adhere the Fairy On the Rocks paper pieced image to the background and your are done! Here's another look at my finished card.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you'll give some of these techniques a try!
