The Rubber Cafe' has a new Creative Cafe' Kit that captures everything wonderful about fall, and inspired this Pumpkin Harvest card:
Cutting the pieces as noted above, to layer the card and it's base. For the center focal point of the card using orange cardstock, I added a rectangle piece of burlap using The Rubber Cafe' adhesive Scrap Happy Glue.
I've got to say, this kit is full of wonderful fall embellishments and full of texture! I love the natural elements of the burlap, wooden buttons and also the wooden banners. You can see how easy it is to fray up the edges of the burlap in the picture below, by pulling out a thread at a time until you reach the desired look!
I stamped and colored the pumpkin image on cream cardstock and trimmed it and backed it with the orange cardstock piece. The word pumpkins was stamped onto the wooden banner and glued beneath.
TIP - I assembled this center piece separately and did not adhere the pieces to the card right away.....because I knew I wanted to add a bow.
The Ribbon:
To crinkle the ribbon, I like to just roll it into a ball to add more texture as you see here:
I tied the bow around the orange cardstock rectangle and burlap layer, then added a wooden button with a twine bow using Scrap Happy Glue (love the way it holds everything!)
To get the orange pearls to match, I colored them with the same Copic Marker used to color my pumpkins and added them to the green cardstock strip for a finishing touch!
Are you ready for some fall crafting? The inspiration will be coming all week, so stop back by!
