This fall project has a tag which slips into a card. I give these cards as gifts and the person can use the tag as a book marker.
The first step was to make the shell of the card. I did this by taking a 8.5" x 11" piece of cardstock and scoring it at 2.75" and 8.25".
I folded both sides inward to complete the card base. I cut off the top corners so the tag can show through.
Next I cut squares and rectangles from various pieces of patterned paper. I distressed all the pieces by tearing the edges and inking them with brown ink
The tag base is 3" x 8" with the top corners snipped off. The background was created with multiple ink sprays and distressed paints.... I had fun playing with them!
I added a few more embellishments to complete the tag. I stamped "thankful" from the Harvest Time stamp set in the kit, on the wooden label and layered it onto of a piece of burlap. I also created a bow with the ribbon and layered that on burlap. More ribbon and twine at the top to finish it off.
And that's it - Thanks for stopping by!Be sure to check back more this month as the Design Team shares more cards and tags to inspire you using the stamps and products from the Harvest Time kit.
