A Holly Jolly Ornament Card!

Hello TRC Fans!  Hope you are having a wonderful week!  I have been busy getting things ready for our big turkey feast on Thursday and I bet you have been doing that, too!    Creating cards has always been a great stress-reliever for me and last night was no different.  I sat at my crafty table with the contents of the November Creative Cafe' Kit spread all around and I started making some cards.   Here is one of the cards I created!

This is a square card that measures 5 1/4 x 5 1/4".  Unfortunately, that means it will cost extra for postage when you mail it.  But this card could easily be made into the A2 (4 1/4 x 5 1/2") size so that extra postage won't be an issue.

To make this card you will need:  November Creative Cafe' Kit (Twas the Night), Heat Embossing Tool, White Embossing Powder and Versamark Pad.  First cut the Black cardstock included in your kit to 5 1/4 x 10 1/2".  Score at 5 1/4" and fold it in half.  Cut a piece of red cardstock (included in kit -either the cardstock or patterned paper) to 5 x 5".  Then cut a piece of white cardstock to 4 3/4 x 4 3/4".  Layer the red and white together.  Cut a piece of  grey patterned paper from the Echo Park Tis the Season (included in kit) to  4 3/4 x 3".  You will also need to cut a strip of red paper using either an edge punch or a die template.  I used the 2013 Heirloom Ornament dies from Spellbinders but other nested ornament dies would work, too!

I used the Scrap Happy Sheer Glue with the Tiny Detailer nozzle to adhere everything down.

Next I stamped the "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" onto one of the Chalk It Tags (included in kit) using Versamark ink.  Then I sprinkled my white embossing powder on and tapped off the excess.

Using my little tweezers, I heat set the embossing powder.  Don't panic if it looks like the Chalk It tag is bubbling.....keep heating it and that will go away.  Also if there is stray embossing powder, just use your finger to wipe it away after it has been set and cooled off.

Here is a close-up of my tag. I just love all the goodies in this kit.  I had a lot of fun making this card and I hope you will give it a try!  Have a great Thanksgiving!!
