To say opening this box of goodies was like Christmas morning is an understatement! The first card I'm sharing with you is a clean and simple card, that I thought would be great to make multiples
to send out as holiday greetings:
Using a matte red cardstock base, I added the green dot paper (4 1/4" by 3 1/4") and the holly paper (4 1/4" by 2").
The three banners were cut from black cardstock, and the hollypaper (that red patterned is on the back side....love the dual sided coordinated paper!). These were tucked under a 1" strip on black cardstock that I inked slightly with white chalk ink, and tied up with some of the gorgeous red organza ribbon also from the kit.
The sentiment is embossed in white on a 2" by 1&7/8" square of black cardstock (I stamped and
embossed, then trimmed to fit). This was inked up with the chalk ink, and then foam taped to the
Spellbinders die cut to make it the center of attention.
To make the little holly sprig accent in the upper left corner, you can just draw little holly leaves on the green dot paper....don't panic here....lol...this is super simple--here is a large scale drawing
on white paper to make it easier to see the simple steps:
After you draw your holly leaves, just cut them out, add a few "red berries" (sequins included in the November Creative Cafe' Kit) and you've made a sweet little accent for this "Holly Jolly" card:
Thanks for dropping by the cafe' today.....are you ready to start on those holiday cards?
Make sure to stop by for more inspiration over the next few weeks--lots more to come!
