Holly Jolly Easel Card

Hi there!  Kristine here with a fun easel card that I made with The Rubber Cafe November  Creative Cafe Kit of the Month.

In addition to the supplies that come in the kit I used Scrap Adhesive 3D foam squares, Scrap Happy Glue, Versamark ink, Spellbinders Dies and White Embossing Powder.

To create this card you'll need to cut your paper in to the following dimensions:
1- 11" x 4 1/4" Red cardstock card base
2- 4 1/8" x 2 7/8" black cardstock panels
1- 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" black cardstock panel
1- 4 1/8" x 1" black cardstock panel
2- 4" x 2 3/4" patterned paper panel
1- 4" x 5 1/2" white cardstock panel
1- 4" x 7/8" patterned paper panel

Score the red card base at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2".

Adhere the white panel to the larger black panel and the thin patterned paper panel to the larger black panel.

Adhere the patterned paper strip on to the larger panel.
Adhere a red Twinkle Princess Cut stone on each end of the patterned paper panel

Adhere the completed panel to the inside of the red card.

Stamp the sentiment on one of the black "Chalk it!" stickers with Versamark ink and heat emboss with white embossing powder.

Note: Move the heat tool quickly to avoid melting the sticker.  The sticker may warp a little while heating but will return to normal when it cools.

Stick the sticker to a scrap of black cardstock and fussy cut around the sticker.  This will give some strength to the sticker so you can adhere it to the inside of the card with a couple of 3D foam squares.

To complete the outside of the card, adhere the two patterned paper pieces to the larger black panels.

Adhere one of the panels to the top of the front of the card and the other panel to the bottom of the card front.

Tie a piece of black seam binding around the card beneath the fold.

Ink up the reindeer.  Ink up the bow with red ink and the rest of the reindeer image with black ink.
Stamp the image on a white oval die cut panel.
Stamp ornaments.
Adhere image panel to a larger red die cut oval panel.
Color image with Copic Markers.  I used E40-E42-E43-Rv10-R21-R22-R24-YG61-YG63-YG67-C3.

Adhere the panel to a larger die cut green scallop oval panel with Scrap Adhesive 3D foam squares.

Then adhere the panel to a larger black scallop edge oval panel with Scrap Adhesive 3D foam squares.

Adhere rhinestones to each of the scallops.

Add Scrap Happy Glue to the lower back portion of the panel.

Adhere to the card.

The card looks like this when it is closed but the top part of the image panel is not adhered to the card which enables it to move into an easel card.

I hope you enjoyed today's tutorial and will give it a try with your kit!

This is carline! I know this is an older post, but I loved it so I tried it. Unfortunately, the dimensions provided are incorrect for the card itself....had to be adjusted. Just FYI>
