Here are a the steps I took in creating the tag -

2. I used Faber-Castell Gelatos and Dylusions Ink Spray to color the background of the tag. The white embossing powder provided a resist.

4. Next I distressed the edge of the tag with brown ink and backed the tag with brown cardstock to make it more sturdy.

6. Then I started working on the sentiments which I stamped on canvas strayed with Dylusions Ink. I cut out the sentiments from the canvas and frayed the edges.
TIP #1: If you want the color to be more vibrant, wet the canvas before spraying it with the ink. The more layers of colors you spray the darker it colors get on the canvas.
TIP #2: If you want the stamp (in this case the sentiments) to have more crisp lines - let the background canvas dry completely before stamping on it. If you stamp on the wet canvas the lines will blur or bleed. I like the blurred look of stamps sometimes on a wet background but for the words I thought the lines needed to be crisper so I waited for the canvas to dry first.
