Happy Wednesday! Today I am sharing a window card I made with The Rubber Cafe's Leafy Fun Labrador stamps. I immediately fell in love with this stamp set when I saw it in the store - isn't the dog cute playing in the leaves?
I used Tea Stained Mica Fragments for the leaves. These mica fragments are great for adding bling and texture to projects. The flakes vary in size. You can use them as they come in the bottle or you can crush them to make smaller pieces.
When I started this project, I wasn't sure if I wanted the mica chips to be larger or smaller, so I did a test image and tried both. The image on the left has the larger fragments and the image on the right has mica chips that I crushed. I decided to go with the larger chips!
I stamped the Leafy Fun Labrador image on patterned paper, fussy cut it out, and glued it on a different colored piece of paper so there was a contrasting background. I rubbed Scrap Happy Glue over the pile of leaves in the image, poured on the mica fragments and tapped off the excess. It needs to sit a while to completely dry!
I used the Scor-Pal to emboss the cream cardstock on the edge of the window. The leaves around the outside of the window are stamps from Leafy Fun Labrador set that I fussy cut out of patterned paper.
Here is another picture of the completed card!Supplies
