Photo Cards - featuring the Creative Cafe' kit 'Twas the Night

Hi Everyone-

Today - I want to show you how easy it is to create photo cards for your holiday mailings this year!
And of course my products and stamps used are all coming from the Creative Cafe' kit this month called 'Twas the night.

My photo card today -is featuring my beautiful feline friend, Liberty!

This was super easy to make - I cut an outer sleeve using that wonderful Grey Polka dot pattern from the Echo Park's Tis the Season 6x6 pad included in the kit -and punched a square window to reveal my photo placed on the tag inside.  I used a 1/2" circle punch to create a finger hold to allow for easy access to the curved edge of my interior tag.

I framed my photo in using the green polka-dot and layered a window sheet to cover the square.

Adding stamped a sentiment on one of the Chalkboard sticker elements also included in your kit and the cute Red bow paper-pieced to the window help finish up the outside.  Inside you'll find there is another sentiment.

Here's an open view -

For the inside, I've backed and framed in her photo which is approximately 2 1/2" square - leaving just enough space for the sentiment "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas"  All of this is mounted on black cardstock while my tag is using another Red patterned paper from the Tis The Season pad.

The overall size of my card is 3 x 5 1/2 - keeping it very easy to slide in an envelope and mail.  And even though the frame is popped up a bit using the Clear foam rolled tape - it is relately flat so should not require any extra postage.

Here are my cut measurements:

  • Outside sleeve- Grey Polka-dot  6 x 5 1/2 -scored in from each end at 3"
  • Black patterned piece 2" and punched with large scallop border punch to join seam in back.
  • Window - punched with MS scalloped square anywhere punch
  • Green polka dot cut at 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 and a 2"square cut out from that to make frame.
  • Acetate window sheet- 2 1/4 x 2 1/4
  • Inside tag - Red patterned piece - cut at 2 7/8" wide x 6" - punching one short end with the same large scallop border punch to give your tag
  • Black cardstock - 2 3/4 x 5 1/2

Another easy idea would be to print your photos on your cardstock and cut into postcards - there are numerous stamp images you can add to frame in your photo -or add to the other side where you stamp and address your card.
I hope this inspires you to get busy and consider making and sending your holiday wishes to friends and families - with products and stamps from the Rubber Cafe'!
