Today I'm sharing this sweet little card with you!
4 1/4" by 5 1/2" black cardstock
4" by 5 1/4" red cardstock
3" by 4" piece of black cardstock
2 3/4" by 4" piece of kraft carstock (wait to adhere)
To create the banners, I absolutely loved that one of the 6x6 sheets of
paper was this fun border strip paper:
I cut one sheet into the individual strips, then used about 2 or 3 inches of one strip to make the banners.
They are layered onto a strip of Scor-Tape along the top of the kraft cardstock piece to make it easy to place, then adhered down the rest of the way with Scrap Happy Glue. Then a length of twine is wrapped around twice, and finished with a knot, and then a bow. Then it's adhered to the card front.
The super sweet lil' Valentine Pup is stamped in Black Tuxedo Memento ink, and then colored with Copic Markers: R46, E35, E53, and RV02. I trimmed him to an approximate 1 3/4" by 2" size, and framed him out with the black cardstock and adhered him with foam tape.
The sentiment is stamped in Memento Ink, and trimmed to a slender banner, with black cardstock to frame it. The rhinestone hearts and heart pins are sweet Valentine touches to finish it off perfectly.
