Framed Showers- Creative Cafe' for April

I have a fun framed card today - featuring the stamps paper and embellishments from April's Creative Cafe' kit- Spring is in the Air.  This month is so bright and cheery for those of you who have been experiencing the long winter will especially be ready for this one!

My card today is built on layers and layers and more layers- Featuring our exclusive clear set "Dancing in the Rain"  included in your kit!
Here are my cut pieces:
  • Card base of white cardstock: 4 1/4" x 11- scored at 5 1/2" for a top folding card.
  • Print of your choice cut 4 1/8" x 5 1/4 -
  • Tone on tone pink patterned paper from the pad: 4" x 4 1/2"
  • My Frame is diecut from white cardstock using  Tim Holtz Sizzix Frame die
  • Layered diecut circles from patterned yellow paper created my sun
  • Tag punch for my sentiment
To create my clouds I stamped on the blue rain drop print paper using Memento-Luxe White ink, and fussy cut them out.
For my Umbrella I wanted to paper piece this so I stamped my umbrella first on white cardstock and again on 3 more prints I picked from the pad.  I used a small wet brush and some Scrap Happy Glue to 'paint' the umbrella area with adhesive.  Once I picked and cut out the different sections just adhered them in place- since Scrap Happy Glue stays 'tacky' for a bit this worked perfectly in piecing my colorful umbrella!  To finish my umbrella, I cut-out the entire umbrella so I could pop-it-up as another element to my card.
Here's a closeup.  I've layered my sun and clouds on different heights to give it a little more depth and interest.  The frame itself is layered above the stamped center where I'm focusing my rain!

I pulled my ribbon through the hole in my tag and wrapping it around the card met and tied the ends into a bow.  The tag was punched and I stamped my phrase - the tag was a bit long so I trimmed off a 1/4" and took my 1/8" corner trimmer to the edges.  It fit both my card and my phrase better.  Finally I placed my pieced Umbrella image next to that also popped up on foam dots.
Here's a final look -
