Sweet Hello: Creative Cafe' May KOTM

Who doesn't love a little sweetness now and again?  How about CALORIE FREE sweetness!  Laura here with a sweet card made with the add on set "Always Room For Ice Cream" from this month's Creative Cafe' KOTM from The Rubber Cafe':

This easel card starts with a kraft cardstock base.  Instead of the common 4x4 size, I wanted to make a full size 4&1/4" by 5&1/2" card.  The kraft is cut down to 4&1/4" wide, while leaving the full 11" length.  It's then scored at 5&1/2" and 8&1/4".

The bottom of the card starts with a 3" by 4" piece of sprinkle pattern paper and I added a 1" by 4" strip of kraft paper.  For the sentiment, I stamped "i scream you scream we all scream for ice cream" in Memento Rich Cocoa on kraft cardstock.  I used the Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags Two die to cut it out, then inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink (all pieces are inked with this except the pink cardstock pieces).  The sentiment is matted on the Spellbinders die piece cut out of pink pearl cardstock, then I added pearls and the ice cream cone brad and then foam taped it to the kraft strip.

The rest of the inside, is the "hello sweet thing" piece cut and mounted onto the pink stripe piece from this pattern paper page:

I added a border of the washi sticker banners to the left side, a few pearls and another ice cream cone brad and then adhered it to the card near the top of the inside.  I added a punched border of pink pearl cardstock with a thin (1/4") piece of sprinkle pattern paper to finish the inside:

The front of the card is a 5&1/4" by 4" piece of pink pearl carstock with the bottom edge punched with a border punch.  Just above the punched border a 2&1/2" by 4" piece of kraft cardstock is layered with a 2" by 4" piece of sprinkle pattern paper and wrapped with a crinkled ribbon and bow, then glued down.  Along the top edge, a 1&1/4" by 4" piece of kraft is layered with a 1" by 4" piece of aqua stripe pattern paper, then adhered 1/4" from the to of the pink pearl cardstock.

To create the center panel, I stamped the sundae and the sentiment in Memento Rich Cocoa ink, then cut out using Spellbinders Labels 22 die.  The cherry on top got a thin layer of Scrap Happy Glue, and then once dry, I buffed in some Patriot Red You're So Fine Glitter, then covered the "chocolate sauce" and the cherry with Glossy Accents.

While that dried, I stamped the sundae on the sprinkle paper and fussy cut out the glass only and glued that on.  I also stamped the little banner and fussy cut that also, then foam taped it to the upper left corner.  Once it was entirely dry, this panel was foam taped to the center of the card front.

To finish the card, I cut two thin banners, stamped a sentiment on one, stapled them together, then glued on the left side of the card (I did use foam tape under that left edge under the staples).  Lots of pretty pearls added to the border and top to finish it up.
