Wedding Day Elegance: Creative Cafe' KOTM

Hi everyone!  Laura here with you today, sharing an elegant wedding card using The Rubber Cafe' KOTM:

The base of this card is 4&1/4" by 5&1/2" white cardstock with the bottom corners rounded.

The first layer is a 4" by 5&1/4" piece of pastel patterned paper with the bottom corners rounded, and a 1" strip of black cardstock border punched and wrapped with a pink seam binding ribbon.  I then added a bow and glued it all down using Scrap Happy Glue to finish the base:

To create the focal point of the card, I started with a 3" by 3&1/2" piece of white cardstock, and punched a border along the top edge (on the 3" side), and then cut a 3" by 1" piece of black cardstock and punched this with the same border punch.  These were layered together on the card.  I centered a 3" by 3&1/4" piece of the pastel pattern paper on the white piece, then layered on a Spellbinders Nestabilities Fleur De Lis Square, that I die cut, then die cut the center out using the corresponding Spellbinders Classic Square die.  This piece was foam taped over the pastel square.  The Classic Square die was also used to cut a black cardstock square that I added to the center of this square (glued directly to the card base....NOT foam taped).

The cake was stamped in Memento Black Tuxedo on white cardstock, fussy cut out, then the scroll stamp was stamped and embossed in grey embossing powder.  I colored the tops of each cake tier using Copic Markers, then brushed a thin coat of Scrap Happy Glue over the entire cake piece, and once dry, buffed on Crystal Ice You're So Fine Glitter--you can see the subtle soft shimmer this gives:

The flowers were stamped, colored with Copics, and fussy cut, then glued to the cake.  The sentiment was stamped on the pastel patterned paper, cut into a banner, and VERY lightly brushed with Black Soot Distress Ink around the edges.  It was foam taped in the very center for dimension, then just glued directly to the frame edge. Pearls were added to flower centers, the frame, and the top black punched border.

Thanks for stoppin' by the cafe' today.....I plan on making several of these cards to have on hand for the upcoming wedding season....this is a great card to have in your stash, ready to give!
