Father's Tie Card: Creative Cafe' KOTM

Hello all!  Laura here today with a card using The Rubber Cafe' June KOTM.  It's perfect for that special guy in your life....mine was for Father's Day, but this would make a great birthday card too:

The card starts with any solid color cardstock as the base.  Cut a 3" by 11" strip of the cardstock and score at 5&1/2" to start the tie shape.  I then made small marks using a score board to make an easy "connect the dots" for the lines I cut to make the tie shape.

This short video shows exactly what I did to make the tie shaped base:

Once the base pieces are ready, you trace them onto the patterned paper you'd like to use:

Cut these out, glue them to the original base pieces using Scrap Happy Glue, and then glue the top of the tie onto the large base piece.

Then you can decorate as you'd like.  I stamped the "Happy Father's Day" sentiment in Memento Black Tuxedo Ink on cream cardstock, trimmed it down to 1/4" by 3&1/8".  It's matted with cranberry cardstock cut into a banner shape.  I added the two brads from the Creative Cafe' KOTM to finish it off.

Thanks for stoppin' by the cafe' today!  Happy Stamping and stop again soon!
