To make this card- I'm using a simple easel fold card. I love this card type as your card is always able to stand on display when it's open. I also like the versatility. It folds flat for mailing, and you can create a pocket on one end, just right for tucking in a message or gift card.
To start - cut a piece 4 1/4" x 11
Score at 3 1/4", 6", and at 10" - this last score will help create a small pocket.
To fold your card create a peak fold at the first 3 1/4" score-line, fold a 2nd peak fold again at the 6" score-line. At the 10" score-line this will fold up to create a pocket. I used two brads to hold the edges closed.
For my card front cut the following, layer and adhere together.
1 pc at 4 1/4" square
1 pc at 4 " square
1 pc at 3 7/8" square
I stamped my truck colored it and fussy cut it out. I cut a 3" x 2 1/2" piece from the map paper and folded it both cross-wise and length-wise, distressing the edges and making it look well-used.
Accordian folding the map I adhered it to a wobbler, and attached that to the front. Taking a thick glue dots I adhered the truck to the map. I tucked 2 tickets behind this with the words keep on truckin' stamped on each.
To finish I layered my phrase - that I stamped with the Happy Birthday stamp, cutting an arrow on one end.
The layers on this card will make it hard to mail - but it sure would be fun for someone you can hand deliver to.
Thanks for stoppin' in! Have a creative week!
