Simple yet elegant is what I was going for when creating this masculine encouragement card.
Mary-Ann here, sharing a clean card that I created using - June's Creative Cafe Kit of the Month - Let's Hear it for the Boys!
The most difficult part of this card was waiting for the Gel Medium to dry. When your in a hurry it is like watching grass grow. You can encourage it with a heating tool but if you are too close, it can bubble. I love the natural dried look. Just get a mask of your choice, spread a thin layer of Gel Medium to the section of the card you want covered. This will dry completely clear but give your design texture.
I tried my hand at coloring this truck. I started with the map paper as my base, colored with watercolored pencils and then cut it out with fine tip scissors. After I backed it with foam tape for dimension, I colored the tires carefully with a black pearl marker. This will make your tires shine.
The base of this card is an standard A2 size. I used white cardstock as my base. Cut a smaller size white piece that I added my Gel Medium too. I added a 1" strip of map paper to the right side then backed that entirely with foam tape and attached it to the front of my card base. Add a sentiment of your choice.
I hope that I have inspired you this month.
I am looking forward to sharing more with next months kit.
