Truckin' on By with Creative Cafe' June KOTM

Hi there!  Laura here with a card carrying a truckload of wishes for someone special, thanks to The Rubber Cafe' KOTM for June....Let's Hear it for the Boys!

This card starts with a 5&1/2" by 4&1/4" base of gold cardstock.

To make the center panel, it starts with a 5&1/2" by 2&3/4" piece of red cardstock, then layered with 5&1/2" by 1/2" piece of blue dot paper about 1/4" from the bottom edge, then a 5&1/2" by 2" piece of number pattern paper is glued on top (leave just a 1/4" of the blue dot peeking out). This piece then gets wrapped with blue seam binding ribbon, and a bow tied on.  Then it's glued onto the yellow base about 1" from the top edge.

To make the tag on the right side, use a 1&3/4" by 2&3/4" piece of the blue dot paper, and center the road map tag from the kit on it, attach with the brad.  I added a small dot of Scrap Happy Glue under the tag to hold it in place, then glued this piece to the upper right corner of the card.

The truck was stamped in Memento Black Tuxedo Ink, then colored in with Copic Markers.  Using an action wobble, I traced the end of the wobble on red cardstock and cut it out, brushed it with some Black Soot Distress Ink, then stuck it on using the adhesive on the wobble.  Then I used foam tape to attach the truck, and attached the back of the wobble to the bottom of the tag on the card.

The happy birthday sentiment is stamped in Black Tuxedo Ink on white cardstock, then trimmed down to a banner, and backed with red cardstock.  The keep on truckin' sentiment is stamped in Black Tuxedo Ink on the gold cardstock, trimmed to a banner, but I left enough room to add the "&" brad from the kit.  These are foam taped to the card.

Thanks for stoppin' by the cafe' today.....so many fun ideas with this kit!  Guy cards are hard to come up with sometimes, so stop in all month for a lot of great ideas from the entire team!  And "Let's Hear it for the Boys"!!
