Mary-Ann here to share my submarine card with you.
This stamp is located in the "Under the Sea" stamp set.
I started with an A2 base of the blue embossed paper. You will barely see any from the front of the card but when it is opened, it will match with what I have created. I cut a turquoise piece of paper, the exact same size as the front of the card. With a 3" circle punch I cut the fish paper. and with a 2 1/2 " I cut the light blue. It is not necessary to have these size punches on hand, you could use a glass, the bottom of anything circular will work.
I stamped my submarine and colored it with several yellow watercolor pencils. Used a blender pen to blend.
I fussy cut him out after he was dry and applied it to the card with foam tape. I applied the circles, then the strips of paper to the left. I did back the striped paper with foam for dimension. The smaller circle too!
So, I made a mistake on this card. I already colored my submarine, had him placed on my card, did some doodling and then decided that I wanted the sentiment "under the sea" under the blue circle. Well, there was black on the acrylic block that smudged onto my submarine. This is the second time this month that I have had to cover up some sort of blunder. But, that happens right? I just created another submarine, backed it with foam tape and applied directly on top of the first one. Creates more dimension and looks great!
