Mary-Ann for my first post this month with the amazingly beautiful Creative Cafe Kit of the Month, Gold-n-Glitz. I was thrilled receive flowers, gold and glitter! Here is a quick look at my card.
I started with a standard A2 card base made from the white cardstock. Applied a thin strip of black to the left. Cut a piece of stripped paper (from the My Mind's Eye 6x6 paper pad) to cover the remaining portion of the front of my card. I backed this piece entirely with foam tape as shown below.
At this point, I attached a twisted ribbon to the top portion of my card, attached with a tiny stapler.
I stamped, water color penciled, and cut my flower. After placing just one layer down, I realized I wanted it to be a bit more three dimensional so I stamped several times, colored what section I would be fussy cutting and layered them largest to smallest. Below you see the first two layers. Each layer is raised with foam tape.
Here is another layer, much smaller than the last.
Here is the finished layered flower. You can see from this angle the different layers.
I stapled the "Hope" chipboard (included in your kit) and added a couple drops of black spray ink to the bottom portion of my card.
I hope you have been a bit inspired. Be sure to check back each day this month for more creative work from our clever designers.
See you next week.
