Hi! Today I'm sharing a simple elegant Anniversary step card. I kept the colors simple with a black card base, gold accents and a pop of red in my flower.
Here's a look at my finished card -
Cut and score a 4 1/4" x 11 piece of black cardstock -
Score lines along the horizontal length at 1", 2" and 5 1/2"
Fold the first two scores in a peak and valley or acoordian fold to create a base that can stand
Framed piece:
Cut a 3" square piece from striped gold pattern paper from the Market Street 6x6 pad from the kit
A 2" square from gold polka dot pattern paper
A 2 1/4" square from the gold metallic cardstock
Layer and adhere all pieces together and finally put ahesive on the lower piece only 1/2" up and attach to the front peak of the base.
Take a closer look....
I stamped my flower 2 x's colored and fussy cut it out. This was popped up with thick dimensional glue dots with the top flower placed offset from the one behind.
For embellishments I diecut a beautiful lacy butterfly -which I adhered to the back drop of the card base
I also diecut another flourish, it was to large so just took a section of it and placed it behind my flower.
I love how well the gold cardstock diecuts, it really creates beautiful embellishments!
To finish up my card, I added a gemstone from Queen&Co, to adorn the center of my flower lending a final touch to my oh so elegant Anniversary card. I stamped the phrase 'anniversary' from the Laurels Add-on set using Gold metallic ink.
