Hey everyone! I'm a huge fan of Halloween crafting, and so The Rubber Cafe' Creative Cafe' KOTM for September is so full of fun spooky, cute stamps, it's hard to choose! This time, it's a little creepy crawly fun with some of the spider stamps:
This card is a basic easel card:
Base: 8" by 4" green cardstock; score at 2" and 4"; fold
Add: 3&3/4" by 1&1/2" piece of black cardstock to base.
Stamp: on a 3&1/2" by 1&1/4" piece of white cardstock, stamp hanging
spiders using Memento Black Tuxedo Ink, Happy Halloween sentiment,
and then individual spider on the word Halloween.
Add rhinestones to spiders, ink around edges with Black Soot distress ink,
then use Scrap Happy Glue to attach to card base.
Top: 4" by 4"of green cardstock; top with 3&3/4" by 3&3/4" purple spider
Add: two banners in upper left corner (I used a 3/4" piece of star paper and
1" piece of dot paper) and two rhinestones in the upper right corner.
Stamp: Spider web in Versamark on white cardstock, and use fine detail
black embossing powder (coming soon from The Rubber Cafe'!!) and
fussy cut out. Use foam tape to add to the card front.
To make the large spider, I used a 3/4" and 1" circle punch on black cardstock to make the body and used foam tape to put the pieces together:
For the legs, I cut about a 2&1/4" piece of the black seam binding, and cut 4 slits on each side like so:
Then just give it a twist in the center to make the legs fan out:
Use Scrap Happy Glue to attach the legs to the spider's body, then use foam tape to add it to the web. Add rhinestone eyes, and there you have one friendly little web slinger:
