Creepiness is all around the blog this months with Pumpkins, spiders, webs, puppies, ghosts, tombstones and more. I decided to focus on the creepy spider web that was just calling my name! It is the stamp set, "Halloween Traditions" that is included in your Creative Cafe Kit.
Mary-Ann here to take you through how I put this creepy card together.
I started with a 5x5 card base of the lime green. I cut a white piece 4 3/4 x 4 3/4. I then cut a black piece 4 1/2 x 4 1/2. I found three nesting circle dies (here you could use three different size glasses or whatever you can find that are round). I placed them on my black paper and sent it through my cutting machine.
I then placed my black on top of the white and lightly traced where the circles were going to be. Now, set the black paper aside. I used extra scrap paper or sticky notes to block off what I didn't want stamped. I inked and then placed the web stamp in the center of the circle. I repeated this process, moving my sticky notes around blocking off other areas I didn't want stamped. Once this completely dried, I went back and erased the pencil marks.
Now I back the entire black piece with foam tape. On the webs, I stamped spiders and embossed with silver embossing powder. You can do any color you prefer. I then placed clear gems in the center of each spider body.
Once all the layers were in place, I added a spider with a long web down the left side. I just turned the stamp upside down to use the straight line. I stamped the ghost with white ink on white paper, and used white embossing powder to get this look. I took a black pen and colored his facial features. Added the sentiment and a gem and I was done.
Keep coming back if Halloween is your thing!

I love this! So cute- and not all "orange and black" the green is my fav!
Thank you!
I love the overlapped use of the web- and overlay of circles, very creative!
