Things have a way....

What a perfect sentiment for anytime of the year,
"things have a way of working out."
Mary-Ann here sharing my first card created with December's
Creative Cafe's KOTM - Take Flight.

I started this card with an A2 base of the gold, 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  I added a white block, 4 x 5 1/4 and stitched around the outer edge of the white.  The small honeycomb stamp caught my eye and I wanted to keep my card soft and slightly elegant.  I used my brayer and some gold paint to match the paper and stamped in it and then onto my clean white paper that was included in the kit.  You could easily use gold embossing powder or ink, whichever you may have on hand.  I then trimmed this down to 3x4 to clean off any imperfections.  I also cut a 3x4 piece of floral as you can see above.

I cut thin strips of banners like so and stapled them together in the center.
Using the same gold paint, I watered it down and lightly brushed over the tips of the strips to get a metallic gold look.  You could use the Gold Pearl Pen.  I placed these on the top of the 3x4 blocks.
Then added a 3x3 block of stripped paper and a
 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 of newsprint unitizing the black swirl.

I stamped with two bees with VersaMark Watermark Stamp Pad, using black embossing powder and heat set it.  Using the watered down gold paint (or Gold Pearl Pen), I brushed it onto the Bees that are raised with foam tape.  I used my paint brush to splatter the gold randomly on the card.  I added black gems that were included in your kit.
