I went to town coloring my stamped image with watercolor pencils and following with a water pen, keeping it bright and youthful. For the window, I used a Spellbinders die to cut a scallop circle from both my yellow card and a white cardstock backing. My stamped image was kiss cut then secured just slightly inside the yellow card opening with a bit of glue. Then, I sandwiched a piece of acetate between the card and the white backing to create the window effect. The sentiment is stamped on the inside of the card and peeks through the window.
To create the paper bow embellishment on the front of my card, I first cut two approximately 1/2" by 4" strips of patterned paper.
1. Adding just a bit of double stick tape to the back, center of one strip, curl each edge back, until they meet in the middle. The adhesive then "cinches" the base of the bow.
2. Lay the center of the bow on the second strip of paper, as shown, leaving approx 1/4" at the top. Fold over that small edge and secure with a bit of adhesive.
3. Snip off all but 1/4" from the opposite side of the strip, add a bit of adhesive to the back of the bow and fold the piece over to complete the bow center.
Have a fantastic weekend! - Jen
