I love you, I love you, I love you

It is Mary-Ann here today, sharing another beautiful butterfly card with you today.  Embossing this guy really makes him pop of the page.  This is my second card this month with the same color tones.  I was really drawn to the red and black for some reason.  I can see the below card used for a Valentines Day.  Keep this stamp set close by, Valentines Day is creeping up fast!

I started with a dark red A2 card base of 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 .  I cut a piece of white cardstock 4 x 5 1/4 and applied to the top of the card base with Scrap Happy Glue.  Then added a 3 3/4 x 5 block of black.  Back a 2 1/4 x 4 piece of red floral with Kool Tac foam squares, and apply to the center of the card.  I added three strips of the Queen & Co. Trendy Tape across the center, stamped my sentiment three times and added gems to the corner of the red block.

I stamped my medium sized butterfly with VersaMark on a light colored paper from the Carta Bella paper pad, included in your kit and heat set it with black embossing powder.  You can not see from this photo but the embossing technique really makes this guy pop off the page.

See you next time!
