Here's a look at a couple of these together - the basis of these cute favors is toilet paper rolls! Cutting them in half gives you two!
Combined with fun patterned prints from the Doodlebug pad- I prepared my toilet paper rolls by cutting them in half.
I cut a width to match the heighth of my round cylinder, and added 1/2" scoring on the line as well.
Before adhering I cut slits up to the 1/2" slide. Tucking in the ends with the scoreline you've now covered your rolls. For the base or brim of my hat, I cut a circle about 1" wider than my hat and cut a smaller circle out in the centre of that. Taking my scissers I cut slits around the inside so I can insert the brim.
To finish I created fun 'picks' using regular tooth pics and elements from the 6x6 pad, and flags that are included in the kit.
Stamped phrases, and some hand-made pinwheels finish my project! Red sparkly tulle add some filler in the bottom to help cover up my styrofoam balls inserted in each.
