Hi Everyone! It's Kathy, and I'm happy to be back with my second project as September Guest Designer! As soon as I saw the "laboratory" stamp in the Monster Lab Stamp set, I knew what I wanted to create! It was the perfect complement to my party favor! Take a peek...
The test tubes in the Monster Lab Stamp reminded me of cute test tube favors I've seen before so I decided to create my own! The tubes can be found online.. mine measured about 6" x 1". To create the holder, I first cut a strip of black cardstock, 1 1/2" x 10".
I then scored the strip at 3/8", 1 3/4", 2 1/2", and 3 7/8". In the second segment, I used a 1" hole punch to create the opening for my tube.
I added some decorative strips of the skull paper from the Doodlebug October 31st pad, measuring
1 1/4" x 6" and 1 1/4" x 1/2". I then folded along the score lines and glued the small tab to the back piece to complete.
I used a small hole punch to punch 2 holes in the back piece to thread the ribbon through.
Here's what it looks like together, before the ribbon and tag.
For my tag, I stamped and heat embossed the laboratory image, and colored it in using Copics. I then layered some of the papers from the Doodlebug Pad to make it pop!
That's it for me today, thanks so much for stopping by to peek!
