This card was created with September's Creative Cafe KOTM - Monster Bash.
I always ask my family for their favorite of the month. Then I ask my son to place them in order they should appear in my blog posts. It is funny because, he voted this for the last and my husband voted for it to be the first! Well, it is my last post with this kit! You can tell who I listen too:o)
I wanted to make this card look a but more grungy than my other cards. Not so bright and cute. I used an old tool I have to rough up the edges of paper, however, a pair of scissors would also do the trick.
I heat embossed the witch boots with white on the small black and white checkered paper. I used my blender tool, to smudge black ink all over the card. This turned the white embossing gray and makes the card look old or smokey.
I stamped the broom twice. I brushed them with the ink as well to help dull them a bit. I used scissors to help shred the end of both brooms.
I added them on top of each other. The top backed with foam and placed directly on top of the other.
In this photo, you can see how I shredded the broom so that it looked more realistic. You can also see how I layered the ribbons on top of each other. Allowing just a touch of each, showing on the edge.
